Heat pumps are a year round value for money appliance

Heat pumps represent excellent value for money because they both heat and cool so your investment is working for you 12 months of the year. Aside from being very economical to run they are also a highly efficient dehumidifier. The inside unit also filters the air and can act as a circulating fan. Heat pumps are easy to use and exceptionally convenient: A heat pump enables you to increase or decrease the temperature of your room, or switch from heating to cooling at the push of a button on the remote control. Heat pumps can heat up or cool down a room within a few minutes, then, once the room reaches your preferred temperature, the heat pump will retain that temperature for as long as you require it to.

Comparison to a conventional electric heater: The best heat pumps can produce a great deal of hot or cold air with a relatively small energy input. For example an electric heater will use 1kw (18 cents) of electrical energy to produce 1kw of heat, whereas a 6star heat pump will use 1kw of electrical energy to produce around 4kws (72 cents) of heat.
