AMC HVAC was engaged to modify an existing commercial heat pump system and to relocate the outdoor units. Due to the size of the odu’s a normal condenser cage wouldn’t work so we set about to work with the building contractor and customer to come up with an economical and cost-effective solution.

KARORI NORMAL SCHOOL, WELLINGTON

AMC worked alongside W&H Construction to provide the electrical and data components of a great new facility for the Teachers and Students at KNS. Alongside this new block the power and data infrastructure for the entire school was upgraded. We are pleased to have been involved in a project to enhance the learning experience of the future of New Zealand.

SACRED HEART COLLEGE, LOWER HUTT

AMC worked alongside Maycroft Construction to provide the electrical and data components for the new Mission House building at Sacred Heart College. This two-storey building houses the library, admin and support services as well as counselling and meeting spaces. We are pleased to have been involved in this exciting functional hub for the staff and students of the college.

TE ARA A TĀWHAKI, STUDENT HUB, OTAKI

This project designed by Tennent Brown Architects combined a number of purposes for Te Wānanga; as a home for student services and social space, the whare pukapuka (library) for the campus, and to provide a tiered teaching and interactive lecture space. AMC provided both electrical and data services for the project.

The Hub Project was initially taken on by AMC because the previous contractor was unable to complete it. Within a tight timeframe, AMC was able to complete this vast project. On completion of this project, AMC was engaged to complete major refurbishment of the Rankine Brown and Cotton Buildings.

AKAU TANGI SPORTS CENTRE, WELLINGTON
Contractor: AMC Electrical in partnership with Signify (Philips)
The AMC team enjoyed the opportunity to upgrade the court lighting from the original fluorescent high bay fittings to modern LED ones. This will help to reduce power consumption and avoids future lamp changes.
The facility also received an upgrade of additional lights to be used if televised events are held in the facility.

A brand new indoor bowling facility that will host regional and international tournaments. AMC Electrical has been involved in a number of Hutt City Community Facilities Trust projects including the Taita Sport & Community Centre and the Stokes Valley Community Hub.

REFECTORY BUILDING, MASSEY UNIVERSITY, PALMERSTON NORTH

AMC Electrical were engaged by LT McGuiness to provide electrical services for the refurbishment of the Refectory Building at Massey University.
This was a challenging refit due to the nature of the building and the high spec of the fittings that were installed. Integration of the emergency lighting system into the university lighting management platform was part of the brief as well as feature exterior lighting and sensor automation of many areas of lighting.

Toll Logistics Hub, Aotea Quay, Wellington

TOLL has doubled the size of its logistics hub in Wellington with a new $25 million 8400 square metre warehouse to service the New Zealand capital and its surrounding areas. Environmentally Sustainable Design, the facility includes LED lighting, adaptable lighting and mechanical controls to help drive down energy use.
Working with Main Contractor Watts & Hughes, we provided both electrical and data services for the project. Our site team worked hard to deliver this project in trying times ( Covid 19 pandemic) on time and to a very high standard.
